Fascinator headband how-to!

Right, so as promised I'm sharing a pic or two of the fascinator headband I made to wear for my cousins wedding. (The wedding itself was a wonderful occasion by the way - will eventually put some pics up of it) Thought I would also share how I made it, it is really very simple:

Step 1: Take a plain headband, some feathers, ribbon (about half a metre should do it) and something shiny and bling (like a brooch) oh and you'll need scissors and some craft glue too.
Step 2: Dab a tiny bit of glue on one side of the headband, just under a quarter of the way up and apply the feathers.

Step 3: Dab a bit of glue to one end of the ribbon.

Step 4: Holding the feathers  to the headband take the ribbon and start to securely and tightly wrap it around the feathers. Once wrapped all the way to the bottom of the headband (ensuring all the feather stems have been covered) add a tiny bit of glue and stick down the end of the ribbon. (you may need to hold it for a few minutes to be sure it has stuck)

Step 5: Stick your piece of bling or embellishment to the headband just where the feathers poke out of the ribbon, or if using a brooch like I did just pierce it through the ribbon!

And there you have it, one beautiful and handmade fascinator! Very cheap too :)
