Overcoming a phobia...sort of!

Firstly, sorry for the lack of blogging...life has certainly got in the way! Very settled in our new home...busy making it look nice and welcoming.

As the weather has been rather warm of late I've started on our back yard...which means overcoming a phobia of mine...snails! Yes I'm very very scared of them..slugs too! I come over all hot and panicky if I see one and of course the yard has quite a few of these animals. Well today I bravely managed to remove one from a plant pot...by flicking it away! Feel so proud of myself and hopefully this means that I'm going to be able to really make the yard a lovely place full of colour..providing the snails don't eat my precious plants!

So what phobia(s) do you have if any?

Candy stripe Phlox - re-potted even with a snail in the way!

We've done it!!

So Dale and I have finally decided on somewhere to rent, it's a lovely house nice and spacious and it's been recently decorated too which is a bonus! Also it's very near to where I work and lots of local amenities so all in all...perfect!

Very excited to be able to buy nice things for it and make it our own and to just experience living together for the first time :)

House hunting.

Right now my boyfriend and I are finally looking for somewhere to rent (we've been together for a very long time!) and I can't help but buy cute things for our future home!

Whilst visiting family Down South I bought some of these adorable matryoshka dolls measuring spoons, how lovely are they! Can't wait to cook our first meal and to use them :) Next on my list of little things to buy is the Moomins cookbook....

An apology and a magazine interview.

Hi everyone,

first I want to apologise for my lack of posting in the last few weeks! Life suddenly got very busy indeed. Hope you all had a lovely festive season, seems so long ago now doesn't it?

Secondly I would like to share a feature I did for an online magazine, I'm so proud of how it's turned out and want to thank the editors for giving me the opportunity!
